The making of Mono-Thin chair is based on the logic of continuous surface generated from a single sheet material. By using the die-cut technology and two-dimensional curved-fold structure, Mono-Thin is fabricated from a flat sheet of pattern into a rigid ergonomic form. This chair pushes the rules of simplicity beyond a product of visual reduction; it is designed to also consider the speed of construction as a vital aesthetic value. Mono-Thin is an experience of economy - a lean, mean, sitting machine that embodies the graphical, geometrical and fabrication methodology into one fluid environment.
